Ms. Jane Nyakang'o - Director

She holds a Masters of Science degree (Environmental Science & Technology) - with distinction from the International Institute for Infrastructural Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (IHE), Delft, the Netherlands, 1997. She is responsible for planning and management of the Centre. She works with national and international experts in designing and implementing cleaner production demonstration/training program and information dissemination campaign. Together with the Deputy Director recruits enterprises for participation in cleaner production and advices the Government on cleaner production incorporation in policy. Jane has research interests and over 10 years experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental audits, cleaner production and multilateral environmental agreements. She serves as a member of the Environment and Earth Sciences Specialist Committee, National Council for Science and Technology-Kenya, and an Associate member, Third World Organization for Women in Science. Steve has more than 5 years experience in Industrial Environmental Chemistry research. He holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). He is a professionally trained Cleaner Production and Waste Management Expert, Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit (EIA/EA) Expert, Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) Expert and Environmental and Social Management Expert. He is charged with the running of Cleaner Production and Waste Management recruitment and training for individuals and companies, organizing of the Annual National Cleaner Production Award (ANCPA) and the three Popular (3) Months Cleaner Enterprise Programme (CEP). Mr. Evans Nangulu - Cleaner Production Expert

Mr. Evans Nangulu is our Environmental Chemist and Cleaner Production expert. He is currently a master's student in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Nairobi and holds a bachelors of Science in Chemistry from the same University. He is a registered EIA/EA Lead Expert with the Kenya National Environment Management Authority, Clean Development Mechanism projects development and Climate Change expert from the Swedish Energy Agency, he has been trained in Transboundary Water Management from Ramboll Natura and SIWI in Sweden, training on industrial automation for sustainability from SIRIM Berhad Malaysia and has obtained training in ISO 14001:2008 from the Kenya Bureau Standards. Mr.Nangulu has a vast of experience in project management.currently; he is the National Cleaner Production Expert for the World Bank/SIDA – Lake Victoria Environmental Management Programme Phase & II (LVEMP I &II). She is charged with conducting, coordinating EIA/EA studies and developing project reports; carrying out Cleaner Production in-plant assessments and demonstrations in enterprises, in addition to organizing and facilitating training and awareness workshops for companies and on-going projects at the Centre. |

Victor Gathogo - Cleaner Production/ environmental Expert

Environmental and Cleaner Production expert with the centre. He holds a bachelors degree in Environmental sciences.He is also trained on Environmetal Impact Assesment and Environmental Audits, energy management, Clean Development Mechanism projects development and Climate Change expert. Mr. Gathogo has a vast of experience in project management. He is a Cleaner Production Expert for the World Bank/SIDA – Lake Victoria Environmental Manages vast experience on sustainable production, industrial ecology and an expert in Energy auditing under the LVEMP II. He also holds a gold and silver awards presented by the President of the Republic of Kenya, his Excellency Hon. Mwai Kibaki under the International Awards for the young people, the Duke of Edinburgh’s award international association which recognizes outstanding contribution in the society. |
